ChatGPT (Link)

ChatGPT is a Large Language Model or LLM trained by OpenAI based on the GPT-3.5 architecture. As an AI-powered chatbot, ChatGPT has the ability to understand natural language and provide helpful responses to a wide range of questions related to education. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the way we learn and access information, providing students and educators with personalized and adaptive learning experiences. With its vast knowledge base and ability to learn and adapt over time, ChatGPT is a powerful tool that can help students and educators enhance their teaching and learning experiences in a variety of subjects and contexts.

In working with Ai tools, “Prompting” is a key component to getting the detail or quality of informational output that you are looking for. Simply put, prompting is providing a text based command (Input) to get the answer that you are looking for (Output). Prompting allows users to provide the system with specific instructions and cues for generating outputs or making predictions. By providing well-crafted prompts, users can guide the Ai system towards generating more accurate and relevant results, improving the quality of its outputs. Prompting is particularly important in the context of education, where Ai tools can be used to support and enhance teaching and learning experiences. By providing clear and specific prompts, educators can help Ai tools to generate customized learning materials, assessments, and feedback that better meet the needs of their students. As we progress in the Ai revolution the term “Prompt Engineer”, someone who crafts or creates prompts, will become more relevant and may even become a prominent career sector in technology.

If you are interested in giving ChatGPT a test drive, click the “Link” above to setup your account and get started. You can begin by asking basic questions just as you would in any chat or messaging app. When you are ready to see the real power for the classroom give the prompt below a try. 😀

ChatGPT Prompt of the Day

Format Type can be a list, table, etc. (I personally love the table option!)

Please feel free to copy/paste the prompt into ChatGPT.
